The Off-to-College Campaign for homeless students begun in Tacoma last year is expanding this year to include students in five Pierce County school districts: Tacoma, Puyallup, Clover Park, Franklin Pierce and Bethel.
The goal is to help equip 100 local homeless youth with the things they’ll need at college: laptops, software, flash drives, stickey notes, highlighters, toiletries and more. There’s also one item on the donation list that every college student can use: an alarm clock.
Donations may be brought to United Way of Pierce County at 1501 Pacific Ave, Suite 400 in Tacoma.
